Overview and History: Based at McLaughlin Air National Guard Base in Charleston, W.Va., the 130th Airlift

Wing provides airlift for U.S. military and humanitarian operations for locations at home and abroad. The 130th is equipped with eight C-130 J-30 Super Hercules cargo aircraft. Additionally, the 167th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron provides in-flight medical support as one of nine ANG aeromedical evacuation squadrons. The wing has maintained a continuous deployment cycle since the events of 9/11 and supports the national defense strategy by providing combat-ready aircraft, aircrew and support to global operations.
