Colonel Michael O. Cadle is Vice Commander of the 130th Airlift Wing at McLaughlin Air National Guard Base in Charleston, WV. He is responsible for assisting the Wing Commander in managing over $100M in property and equipment and the formulation, development and coordination of all plans, programs and policies applicable to 1,100 airmen and nine aircraft. Prior to assignment as the Vice Wing Commander, Colonel Cadle served as the 130th Airlift Wing Mission Support Group Commander.
Colonel Cadle entered military service in April 1985 and attended BMT in June of that year. He was assigned to the Combat Support Squadron as a Staff Support Administration Specialist. He moved to the Base Contracting Office, serving as a warranted Contracting Officer until 1992 when he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Resource Management Squadron. He has served in a variety of leadership and state joint staff assignments, culminating in his current assignment as 130th Airlift Wing Vice Commander. His background includes more than 10 years’ experience on the State Joint Staff, civilian experience as a Business Manager for a statewide architect/engineering firm, and president of the National Guard Association of West Virginia.
