American Hero is Honored with Plane Naming Ceremony
Retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. J. Kemp McLaughlin shakes the hand of Retired U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Allen Tackett at a C-130H plane naming ceremony Dec. 7, 2017 at McLaughlin Air National Guard Base, Charleston, W.Va. The aircraft was given the name “The General Mac” to honor McLaughlin, who founded the West Virginia Air National Guard and was a pilot in World War II with the famous Eight Air Force.
