CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT KEVIN L. CECIL

Chief Master Sgt. Kevin L. Cecil is the Command Chief Master Sergeant for the 130 Airlift Wing, McLaughlin Air National Guard Base, Charleston, West Virginia. He is responsible for the positive mental, physical, and spiritual health of the wing’s enlisted Airmen to ensure they are properly educated, trained, and mentored to meet state and federal missions.

 

Chief Cecil entered the Air National Guard in 1996 and graduated from the Air Force Security Police school in May 1997. During his career, he has served as a Security Police member, Air National Guard Recruiter, Basic Military Training Instructor, ANG Recruiting and Retention Technical Training Instructor, Instructor Supervisor, In-Service Recruiter, and Superintendent of Recruiting and Retention Training. Chief Cecil has served the Air National Guard and the Air Force in a full time capacity since the day he graduated technical training in 1997. He has had the privilege of representing the Air National Guard at diverse duty locations including the 167th Airlift Wing in Martinsburg, West Virginia, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and Kadena Air Base, Japan. In 2013, he attended the Navy Senior Non-Commissioned Officer Academy at Newport Rhode Island.

 During his time as a Recruiter, Basic Military Training Instructor, and Technical Training Instructor, he has educated, trained, and directly influenced hundreds of Air Force members during their introduction to the Air Force and transition to special duty as Air National Guard Recruiters. His career has included many leadership roles in Air Force, Air Force Reserve, and joint sister service environments. In his current position, he leads the enlisted Airmen of the 130 AW and continually examines the status of their development, readiness, and ability to perform the 130 AW mission. Prior to his current position, Chief Cecil was the Career Field Functional Manager for ANG Recruiting and Retention, Joint Base Andrews, Md.
